City of Charleston, IL is Hiring an Administrative Secretary Near Charleston, IL

The City of Charleston Illinois is seeking a part-time Administrative Secretary. Wage is $14 per hour, 25 hours per week from 12:00pm and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

The Administrative Secretary works at City Hall greeting the public, answering phones, routine clerical tasks, proof read documents, enter bills payable, prepare correspondence and communicate effectively with strong interpersonal skills. Must be motivated to continue learning and apply knowledge, skills, and abilities to other duties as required.

To be considered, candidate must have experience working with the public, be familiar with basic office skills and protocol, excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task, be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid Illinois driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent and pass an extensive background investigation and drug screen.

Benefits include Personal Leave accrual and this is an IMRF position.
